Ready for what’s next
From Learning to Living
A heartfelt goodbye to the place that became home, and the people who made it possible.
I just wanted to say proper thank you for everything, as I moved out last Friday after two years with Housing Plus (my home).
You didn’t just give me a place to sleep, you gave me a family, skills and a big change. I remember when I arrived I didn’t know how to cook. I feel ready now and that’s mostly because of the support I’ve received from you all. You’ve made sure I attended all my appointments, legal, GP, college, and you took me to football games.
Living with Housing Plus wasn’t always easy, but you helped me through some tough times and always made sure I had what I needed. I’ve learned a lot during my time with you and I really appreciate all the time, effort, and kindness you showed me. Whether it was checking in, giving advice, or just being there to listen – it meant more than you probably realise.
.
And thanks also to my social worker and IRO. No me without all of you.
Thank you for helping me grow and for believing in me when I found it hard to believe in myself. I won’t forget the support you all gave me. It’s sad we won’t see each other as usual, but I’ll always be thankful for everything you’ve done.
