Wild Adventures: A Day at London Zoo

In November, a trip to London Zoo offered young people a chance to explore, reminisce, and learn. For some, it was their first encounter with exotic animals; for others, it stirred memories of caring for livestock in their home countries.

  • The group marveled at conservation efforts for endangered species, deepening their understanding of environmental stewardship.

Seeing the giraffes reminded me of my uncle’s farm in Nigeria. It made me happy—and homesick in a good way.”

Camellia, a Housing Plus manager, noted:
“The curiosity and joy we saw reinforced how vital these experiences are. They’re not just outings—they’re bridges to new perspectives.”
